• Commerce Data: Shipping addresses and phone numbers for product fulfillment.

B. Automatically Collected Data

• Location Data: If you use our GPS-enabled services (such as Fi Collar integration), we collect precise real-time geolocation data from your pet's device.
• Telemetry & Analytics: We track product interactions (views, "add to cart" events, and purchases) to improve our catalog and user experience.
• Device & Log Data: IP addresses, browser types, operating systems, and access times.

2. How We Use Your Information

We process your data to:

• Service Delivery: Manage your account, pet profiles, and "Household" shared access.
• Safety & Recovery: Power the "Lost Pet" features and QR tag scans that help reunite lost pets with owners.
• GPS Tracking: Provide real-time location updates, geofencing alerts, and "Adventure Logs."
• Commerce: Process transactions via Stripe and fulfill physical orders through our fulfillment partners.
• Professional Verification: Verify the credentials of registered veterinary professionals.

4. Location Privacy

GPS data is sensitive. By default, your pet's real-time location is only visible to you and members of your designated "Household." In the event a pet is marked as "Lost," you may opt-in to sharing the last known location or real-time tracking with the PetBook community or emergency services.

Community Location Sharing. When using community features such as playdate listings, you may choose to share your general location (city or neighborhood) with other users. Precise real-time location data is never shared with other users through community features unless you explicitly opt in.

5. Privacy Controls & The "Pet Lover" Plan

We believe you should have control over your pet's digital footprint. All plans include basic privacy controls for your pet's public profile information, allowing you to choose what details are visible to the community.

Our "Pet Lover" plan extends these controls to Posts (including Adventure Logs, Memories, and Timeline updates). Subscribers to this plan can granularly select whether individual posts are "Public" (visible on the pet's profile) or "Private" (visible only to the Household).

6. Your Rights & Data Retention

You may edit or delete your pet's profile data at any time. We retain account information for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data from our active databases within 30 days, except where required by law for financial record-keeping.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard encryption and security protocols. However, no system is impenetrable. In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
